Really too big for even our large home. Thing puts out air big time. Our small dog walked past it and the blast knocked him over. Seemed to like it!

Okay, I bought it for the lighter weight and the longer cord because I have a basement that constantly leaks but that doesn't have a lot of places to plug things in. This is way too over-powerful for my purpose but I am going to keep it and use it on low. I tested it in my living room before moving it to the basement and on low, the ends of my 7 x 5 area rug flap around. (A box fan on high doesn't do that) On high with this, the area rug flew up in the air as if it was a magic carpet.

I'm not a professional. I'm a homeowner and I generally try to buy stuff once and get the best (within reason). I've had one of these blower fans on my radar for quite a while. I will use it for my basement floor when wet, drying carpets after cleaning, and general air movement in a shop/garage environment. I've rented similar fans from Home Depot. I've also seen the Ridgid fan for sale at Home Depot for 2-hundy. That Ridgid fan is 1625 CFM. This one is 3600 CFM for not much more. Build quality seems nice. It's loud when you compare it to a standard house fan but that's not its purpose. Only negative I've found is it's Made In China.
